How to buy facilities management through the RM6264 DPS
A short guide for public sector buyers using the GCA Facilities Management and Workplace Services DPS.
The GCA Facilities Management and Workplace Services Dynamic Purchasing System (RM6264) gives central government, the wider public sector and charities a compliant route to buy lower-value and less complex FM services. It runs until 23 February 2029.
1. Check it fits
RM6264 covers services such as cleaning, catering, helpdesk, landscaping, maintenance, security, statutory compliance, visitor support and waste. Larger or more complex requirements may suit the RM6232 framework instead.
2. Register and filter
Register as a buyer, then filter the appointed suppliers by the services and locations you need.
3. Write a clear specification
Set out the sites, areas, frequencies, standards, KPIs and any TUPE information. The clearer the specification, the more comparable the bids.
4. Run the call-off competition
Invite the suppliers that meet your filters, evaluate against your published criteria and award.
5. Plan mobilisation
Agree a mobilisation plan, reporting and the first contract review before day one.
